Log Cabin quilt

Thinking I really like the layout and colors in this Log Cabin for our bed. What I really love about Quilt design software is the ability to play with the layouts and colors of different blocks. Saves a lot of time sketching and making mockups of the design to find out you really don't like it.

My copy of EQ 7 should arrive today. Have been using EQ5 for several years and decided it was time to upgrade.

My goals are:

1. to finish the quilt for our king size bed
2. Design and complete a quilt to enter in the fall Quilting expo in September
3. Design and complete a quilt to enter in the AQS Quilt show in Paducah, KY in 2014
4. Start working on dyeing my own fabrics again
5. Build my quilting workshop
6. Buy a longarm quilter
7. Attend Ricky Tims workshop in Colorado

Been awhile

Well, it has been awhile since I posted to my blog. I am in the process of working on a paper-pieced quilt for our king size bed. So much fabric and sewing required. It will look good though when it is finished. Will upload some pics as I work on it.
