Prime Day 3 Part 2
I decided to go speak with the Missouri CDl Testers while they were here today after one of the other guys mentioned he decided to take his HazMat written exam today. They told me I could take the HazMat exam and keep the paperwork for when I do my CDL road skills test. I decided to also take the Tanker endorsement also. I pased both tests so when I get my CDL in 3-4 weeks I will be ahead of the game. I attempted the doubles/triples exam also but did not pass it. I will study for it and retake it when I do the CDL road skills exam. Quizzing Scott for his HazMat endorsement helped me with mine.
Day 3 @ Prime
Well it is 10:30am and I have finished everything I had to do today. I had a 2 hour class this morning and now we have no more classes today. Everyone who got their permit before coming to Springfield has an easy day. I am ready for tomorrow to arrive so I can be another day closer to finishing this week.

Day 2 @ Prime
Well day 2 at Prime is finished. I am sitting in the room relaxing. Today I finished the last of the simulations required. It was practicing backing. We were required to pull up through the left of right lane and then back down the middle lane. I did pretty god on the simulation but I did manage to take out a few of the cones. Today we also did the DOT physical, urine screen, interview and all the paperwork. Tomorrow I have the Smith Defensive Driving class then I am done for the rest of the day. I have 2 full days left here and then have a partial day on Friday. They told us today some of us would be leaving Friday with instructors. I hope I am one of them. I don't want to be stuck here at the hotel through the weekend in to next week. So far everything is going good. I am learning new things and also making sure I give everything I have and do my best. I don't mean to show anyone up but anyone who knows me knows I learn everything quickly and can easily adapt to any situation.

Day 1 @ Prime
I just got back to my room after completing 5 of the 6 initial required SIMS. Prime has 3 SIM machines which are basically big video games. They are setup exactly like a real truck. You have to shift, split the gears, double cluth and watch all 3 monitors and the mirrors. I did pretty good thanks to Scott giving me some training before I got here. It has been a long day so far. I have to be up at 5:45 am tomorrow and in class by 7 am.
Arrived at Prime
Well I checked into the motel today that Prime puts all of their trainees and drivers up in. I have been here 3 hours now and it already seems like an eternity. I long to be home with Scott and the kids, Bandit, Tiger, Pandora and yes even Ace. Have I signed myself up for something harder than I expected. Hearing some of the other drivers talk about their training and fleet managers makes me nervous. I have to tough this out. I need this job and I need an income.
